About me

Welcome to a genuine connection with yourself and others! I offer cognitive psychotherapy with an emphasis on schema therapy in a beautiful nature-based office. You will be seen and encountered with the very challenges you need support and change for.

Available Kela-therapy places starting from 2/2026.

I am a warm and compassionate therapist and an active participant in the interaction. You will be deeply heard but also gently challenged when things that limit your well-being come to light. In addition to the methods of traditional cognitive psychotherapy, especially close to my heart are schema therapy, emotion-focused therapy and body awareness.

With me, you can be seen with even the most difficult thoughts and feelings. The House of Emotions (the name of my office, referring to each of us) accommodates the entire spectrum of life: large and small emotions as visitors, practicing the skills of the wise mind, calm and storms.

My working method strongly involves emotional work and attention to the body-mind connection, as well as experientiality and creativity: we don't just talk about things, we also experience them on an emotional level and through experimental exercises, which expose you to experiencing something new. I give you space to be heard, while at the same time we explore thoughts, feelings, actions and body reactions in peace. With increased understanding and finding new models, space opens up for something new and more functional.

I like to give you small exercises and tasks in between our meetings, if your resources are sufficient for them. This way, things don't just stay at the level of talking, but also move into practice and everyday life. If you wish, we can also arrange a walking meeting in the nearby nature, if traditional sitting at the reception feels challenging.

I have work experience from a psychiatric outpatient clinic, which brings a diverse perspective and expertise to my work as a therapist. As part of a team in the mood disorder work group, I have treated people with a variety of mental challenges (depression, anxiety, emotional problems, trauma, personality disorders, etc.). My basic education as a nurse and public health nurse brings perspectives to my holistic way of working. I see people through a biopsychosocial perspective: the human mind cannot be treated in isolation from the rest of life, but we are also affected by environmental factors, social, physical and mental aspects.

I have worked for years with people who have moved to Finland from other countries, so the challenges related to immigration, refugee and trauma-related themes are familiar to me. Working with interpreters is a natural part of my work. I also work in English.
